Community Foundation of Western MA Needs Assessment Project

Maren Brown Associates worked with the Community Foundation of Western MA on a needs assessment to determine the capacity needs of arts and cultural organizations in the three counties of western MA.  To gather information about the needs of the cultural sector in the Franklin, Hampden, and Hampshire counties, Maren Brown Associates consultants worked with the Community Foundation’s leadership to design and administer two surveys of cultural organizations and service agencies in the region, facilitate three convenings of cultural leaders and key stakeholders from throughout the region, and design and facilitate two convenings of a 25+ member advisory group.   Using this information, three implementation projects were devised for which funding was sought from a private foundation.  Consultants involved in this project included Maren Brown, Barbara Schaffer-Bacon and Patricia Morrison.
